Well, it’s very close to that time of year when we celebrate Guy Fawkes night. The sky is going to be full of rockets for at least a couple of nights, and across the north west people will be ooh-ing and aah-ing at roman candles and Catherine wheels.

Although we’re sure you’ll remember, we’d like to remind you all to stay safe if you’re having your own home fireworks display. And also, remember that there’s nothing big or clever about spelling rude words with sparklers.

At events like bonfire parties and home firework displays, you’ll really get the benefit out of an area of hard surfacing. During an evening spent in your back or front garden, a pattern imprinted concrete driveway or patio has many benefits.

It will, for example, significantly reduce the amount of mud that gets tracked from your garden into your home. November is usually a wet month, and the average lawn doesn’t need much to turn it into a bit of a muddy field. Pattern imprinted concrete is also an excellent surface for patio or garden furniture, which is a must for those who get a sore neck from standing and staring at rockets going off. Provided your sealant is in good condition – which it should be – and the furniture gets reasonable use, you should be safe from scratches and scuffs.
