VAT is set to go up from 17.5% to 20% from January the 4^th. Apparently it’ll raise around £13 Billion a year extra for the public purse. You may remember something similar happening last year, and we’re going to say again what we said back then; it’s worth makings larger than usual purchases now instead of waiting until next year, when there’ll be an extra 2.5% to pay.

While paying another 2.5%  isn’t exactly going to break the bank –hopefully – why spend more than you have to? People who listened to what we said way back when we posted the first blog about VAT would have paid 5% less than people who’ll be buying next year. There’s nothing we can do about this, sadly, apart from point out to our customers when something like this VAT change is on the horizon.

The more expensive things become, and the tighter money gets, the more important it is to invest in high quality, high value products.
